Investing in the Whole Person

In 2019, Loyola Academy celebrated the completion of several transformative campus projects that reflected a bold vision for the future of Jesuit education. Guided by A Strategic Vision for Loyola Academy and supported through the Second Century Campaign, these investments were designed to enhance the student experience while strengthening the Academy's mission of forming the whole person. Together, the projects created new opportunities for learning, wellness, collaboration, and community.

Among the most significant additions were the John D. Norcross '54 Aquatic Center, the Mary and L. Robert '62 Pasquesi Piazza, and the Rev. Peter W. Breslin, SJ, STEAM Lab. The Aquatic Center provided a state-of-the-art home for Loyola's swimming and diving programs, while the STEAM Lab expanded opportunities for innovation, creativity, and interdisciplinary learning. At the heart of campus, Pasquesi Piazza created a welcoming gathering space where students, faculty, alumni, and visitors could come together in community.

More than new facilities, these projects represented Loyola Academy's commitment to preparing students for the future while remaining grounded in its Jesuit tradition. By investing in spaces that support intellectual curiosity, physical wellness, collaboration, and belonging, Loyola reaffirmed its dedication to educating young people who are prepared to lead lives of purpose, faith, and service. The transformation of campus marked an important milestone in the Academy's second century and laid the foundation for future generations of Ramblers.
