Entrance Exam for Class of 2024

The Loyola Academy entrance exam is the High School Placement Test (HSPT). The HSPT has five sections: verbal, quantitative, reading, math and language (English). An essay is also included on the entrance exam.
The required entrance examination for eighth grade students will be administered on December 7, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. Online pre-registration will be available beginning November 22. Although pre-registration is encouraged, walk up registration will be accepted on the day of the exam. Students need to bring two #2 pencils and $25.00 exam fee (cash or check payable to Loyola Academy). Calculators and language translators are not permitted. Students should arrive by 8:00 a.m. and enter through the main entrance. Students will be released around 11:30 a.m. 8th grade students interested in applying to Loyola Academy must take the entrance exam at Loyola Academy to be considered for admission.
