Beth Waid Prince, Faculty

For longtime faculty member Beth Waid Prince, community has always been at the heart of teaching. She began her career at Marillac High School before its 1994 merger with Loyola Academy and continues to cherish the close-knit spirit that defined those early years. At Loyola, she sees that same sense of connection paired with countless opportunities for students to discover who they are and how they are called to grow. Over more than three decades in Jesuit education, Beth has guided students not only in the classroom, but also through transformative experiences like Kairos retreats and service immersion trips that challenge students to see the world—and themselves—in new ways.

Beth believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning and hopes students leave her classroom with a stronger understanding of their own gifts, creativity, and potential. She encourages Ramblers to take risks, make mistakes, and learn from them, believing that growth often comes through moments of challenge and reflection. Inspired daily by colleagues committed to cura personalis and the formation of the whole person, Beth continues to embody the mission of Loyola Academy by helping students build community, deepen self-awareness, and become women and men for others.
