Aleena Puthenveetil ’28

For Aleena Puthenveetil ’28, Loyola Academy is a community where every student is welcomed, supported, and encouraged to grow. Drawn to Loyola after a memorable shadow day, she quickly discovered a school where classmates and teachers genuinely care about one another and want each person to succeed. Whether attending daily morning Mass, participating in flag football, Model UN, leadership programs, or preparing for the Clavius Scholars Program, Aleena embraces opportunities to challenge herself while building meaningful relationships. She believes the welcoming and inclusive spirit of Loyola allows students to find their place and become part of something larger than themselves.

Aleena credits Loyola with helping her grow as a servant leader and deepening her commitment to faith and service. Through Arrupe, Ignatian Service Learning, and volunteer experiences in the community, she has gained a greater appreciation for the importance of justice, compassion, and solidarity with others. Daily practices such as the Examen and morning Mass have strengthened her faith and encouraged reflection on how she can be a woman for others. Guided by Loyola’s Jesuit mission, Aleena strives to make a positive impact through leadership, service, and genuine care for those around her, while remaining open to the opportunities and growth that lie ahead.
