Excellence in Athletics |
At Loyola Academy, the pursuit of excellence in athletics reflects our commitment to forming the whole person. Guided by Ignatian values, our programs challenge student-athletes to grow in discipline, leadership, and teamwork—virtues that strengthen character and deepen faith. Rambler athletes are called to be resilient, compassionate leaders who compete for something greater than themselves. Our investment in premier facilities—including the new Athletic Performance Center, the Foley-O'Donnell Athletic Commons, the 60-acre Theodore G. Munz, SJ, Campus, two gymnasiums, and the John D. Norcross ’54 Aquatic Center—demonstrates our dedication to supporting student-athletes in every dimension of their formation. Through these opportunities, our Ramblers embody the Jesuit ideal of striving for excellence for the greater glory of God—Ad majorem Dei gloriam (AMDG). |
Forming Leaders On and Off the Field
At Loyola Academy, athletics are more than competition—they’re a formative experience that builds leaders of character, faith, and purpose. Rambler athletes strive for excellence while embodying teamwork, integrity, and service to others, living out Loyola’s mission to be women and men for others.
Our formula for success is simple: play with faith as your foundation. In all that you do, do things the right way. Honor the game. Know that it’s a privilege to represent Loyola. Work your hardest, put the team first, and have fun along the way. Winning is simply the byproduct of that.
