Guidance - College Counseling
Introduction
Welcome to the College Counseling webpage at Loyola Academy. We hope that you find this to be a useful resource. Included you will find information about important dates and events, resources for students, and a series of answers to frequently asked questions. Please let us know if there are other services that you would like to see featured.
At Loyola Academy, College Counseling complements the personal growth and development that students receive through Loyola’s Formation program. It is our belief that the college search,
application, and decision-making process should be student-focused, encompassing the ideals set forth through our Jesuit mission of reflection and discernment.
This means that this process takes time, effort and research. We know that you, as a Loyola Academy student, are already busy with homework, sports, clubs, and activities. If you take charge
of the college application process, though, you’ll learn a lot about yourself and might just have fun doing it.
The College Counselors work with the Guidance Counselors through Formation classes and on an individual basis as part of a team to help Loyola Academy students and families through this
important time.
