Ignatius Returns to School At the age of 33, so as to be able to gain entrance to the University of Paris, Ignatius studied Latin with students who were 10-14 years of age.
Yearbook and ID photos will be taken next week during Formation. Sophomores are on Tuesday, Freshmen are on Wednesday, and Juniors are on Thursday. Seniors will have ID photos taken on Monday, September 8th.

Calling all sailor!! We will have a brief informational meeting after school on Tuesday in the student Center. The mandatory parent and sailor meeting will be on Wednesday September 3 at 7:00 pm in the Cafeteria. If you have any questions email Joe dahm. [Joe Dahm] The Varsity Boys Soccer Team started off its season with a win over Lakeview High School by a score of 3-0. Tommy Belton scored twice off of assists from Dylan and Spencer Remick. Dylan Remick scored the lone second half goal. Neil Manahan had a stellar game in goal as he and the Rambler defense earned a shut-out. Come support the undefeated Ramblers as they visit Glenbrook North on Saturday.

THE SPEECH AND DEBATE TEAM will hold an informational meeting TODAY, THURSDAY, August 28, ROOM 155, 3:05-3:35. Auditions for the team will be Sept. 15-18. Interested in joining the Yearbook? Our first meeting for freshmen will be on Wednesday, September 3rd after school in room 77. There is a mandatory meeting for all returning members. It will be at 7:00 am or after school on Thursday, September 4th in room 256. Check your Passports for more information. All students: Don't miss the first meeting of the Loyola Academy Law Club! Our club club did so many great things last year (a mock trial, a field trip to the Cook County Jail, a shadow day with pracitcing attorneys) and we are going to do even more fantastic things this year. Our first meeting is next Wednesday (Sept. 3) right after school in the Guidance Department. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. McNamara in the Guidance Department.
